A whole bunch of summer activities, huh...?

Well, that was one way to get people out and about in this crazy city. Though...didn’t they do something with an art gallery last month? That probably didn’t matter though - just walking around and seeing everything there was to do was way more exciting! Pools, fireworks, obstacle courses, scavenger hunts...

The weather today seemed nice for that ocean obstacle course, leaving him dressed up in a swim shirt, swim trucks, and armed with a foam sword...facing down none other than Floyd Leech.

It would probably have been a smart thing to think he had lost right away, but Deuce was never one to back down from a challenge.

“Looks like we’re supposed to knock each other into the water, huh? Good thing I know I won’t have to hold back with you, Floyd!”

finding himself in the vip lounge in the newly opened mostro lounge, azul has been reading and signing documents. it is nothing new, but it can be time consuming work, especially with new staff and all. he is no stranger to doing all of this, but the first few months are always the most difficult because so many things still need to be checked and arranged. he cannot afford to let anything go wrong.

it is no surprise that when striving towards such perfection, his first reaction upon noticing a trail of blood droplets going from the entrance to the vip lounge. standing up from his seat, he exclaims;

❝ — FLOYD ! ❞

with hands on his hips, his eyes narrow whilst looking at his friend who entered. ❝ what did i say about bleeding on the floor ?! ❞ the apology comes next, along with the additional comment that it isn’t his blood ... mostly.

apparently floyd had gotten into an argument with someone, the argument escalated into a fight, but instead of a 1 on 1, the other called in the help of some of their friends. the eel still won, of course, and the enemies had scattered with their tails between their legs. despite having won, that didn’t mean he emerged unscratched. he could see where they had hit him. ( ‘ cowards ’ ) azul thinks to himself as he looks at his friend.

a sigh follows them as he tells him to sit down before reaching for one of the drawers by his desk. a good businessman is prepared for any situation and this one in particular is something azul prepared for first. making certain to stock enough bandages to tend to the wounds his staff ( though mostly floyd ) may get. ❝ let me see that . ❞

when they were still in school before night raven, it wasn’t uncommon for floyd to get into fights. more so than jade. often the twins would be together to take on opponents, but there have been instances where floyd’s lack of a filter got himself into trouble. naturally, he emerged victorious. though finding the need to resort to violence foolish ( but he will not deny it does have its advantages ) he couldn’t help but to think of floyd to be invincible at times, especially when he was younger. ‘ i don’t get why you keep getting into fights ‘ his younger self would muse as he would tend to floyd’s wounds when jade wasn’t there to do so.

by now, azul had hoped this wouldn’t become a regular thing, but both of them knew that he wouldn’t hesitate to tend the other’s wounds. he has always done so in the past and will continue doing so now. it’s only in moments like these where azul’s words do not match his actions. whereas what he says lacks any form of compassion, his actions are gentle. tending floyd’s wounds has become easy now, and in comparison to back then, he is a lot faster now. all that he needed to do was bandage the other’s hand, and he would be good to go again. whilst working on bandaging his knuckles, azul looks briefly up when he hears floyd speak again. of course, he had noticed the plate of food sitting at the end of the table.

he actually wanted to eat it after wrapping up the task he had been working on, but instead of protesting, he let’s out a sigh. ❝ you can take it . ❞ as long as it would get him to sit still and allow him to finish this task.

“This place again?...” The squid’s muttering could be heard faintly under her breath as she gazed upwards at all the buildings surrounding her; buildings that were much, much taller than she was. She had been stunned into immobility for a few moments upon re-arrival in the city of Spirale, mostly as the result of a whole bunch of memories flooding back into her mind all at the same time; it was overwhelming, to say the least, especially since a lot of these memories weren’t exactly positive.

Cod damn it.

Sticking her hands in her pockets, she found herself trying to make heads or tails of the city once more. It seemed as if the population had changed drastically since the last time she was here; there didn’t seem to be any familiar faces around. She couldn’t decide if that was for better or for worse, honestly.

Still, she knew she’d need at least some help to get used to everything that had changed around here. With that in mind, she approached the first person she saw, whistling out a short greeting.

“Yo! How long have ya been here?”
