Strapped down / Recovery / "It's ok"

Caretaker woke up in a lavish bed: large, soft, and overflowing with pillows. It was extremely comfortable, up until they remembered how they “fell asleep”. They shot up in a panic, coming face to face with Whumper.

“You still snore, you know,” Whumper smiled.

Caretaker shook their head in disbelief, then winced.

“Careful.” Whumper extended an ice pack towards Caretaker. They eyed it suspiciously.

“I’ll be fine,” they said shortly.

Whumper shrugged. “Fair enough,” they said. “I just want you to be comfortable.”

“If you really wanted that, you would have left me alone.”

“You know I couldn’t do that. How else could I be sure that you would be alright on your own?”

“I can take care of myself,” Caretaker grumbled.

“Sure. But even if you could,” Whumper stressed, “What if someone else entered the picture? I needed to be sure you’d end up alright. Besides, how could anyone else be good enough for you?”

Caretaker glared at Whumper, then paused, looking around.

“Where’s Whumpee?”

Whumper froze, their gaze going hard. “Why does that matter?”

“That’s not what I asked.” Caretaker stood up, trying to remain steady, and looked right up into Whumper’s eyes. “Where are they?”

“And why do they matter so much?” Whumper hissed. “They’re weak, and pathetic, and a waste of your time!”

Caretaker stood their ground. “You wouldn’t have taken them if you thought they didn’t matter.”

Whumper was borderline fuming, but grew eerily calm at Caretaker’s words. Somehow, this worried Caretaker even more. In a flash, Whumper’s demeanor changed, and they slammed Caretaker against the wall, pinning them down.

“You’re lying! Say you’re lying!” Whumper seethed, but Caretaker stayed silent, trying to fight Whumper’s grasp. Furious, Whumper threw Caretaker onto the ground then left the room. Caretaker had just barely gotten up when Whumper returned, a handful of straps in their hand. They forced Caretaker back onto the floor and began to bind their limbs together.

“If Whumpee really means that much to you, I’ll take you to see them. Maybe then you’ll see how good you have it with me.”

Day 8: Strapped down/Recovery/"It's okay."

For days 7, 8, and 9, I decided to use my oc Kai. He's a mer/human shifter and gets to be a test subject for lab whump.

Dr. Alice and Dr. Caro were getting the lab ready for another experiment. Dr. Caro was setting up the examination table that Kai hated with all his might. Dr. Alice had her back to him as she worked at the counter, putting together various liquids in a way that made Kai very wary. She'd mentioned the other day that she was working on a formula to do something. She refused to say what.

"Get him ready," she said without looking back.

"Alright. Kai, get on the exam table, please," Dr. Bennett said.

His body froze up. He tried to force himself to walk to that table but the last time they'd had him on it, they'd given him something that made him violently sick.

"I-I can't," he said. "Please don't make me, I can't do that again."

"It's okay, Kai. It'll be alright," Dr. Bennett said, laying a hand on his shoulder.

"Get him on," Dr. Alice said coldly. "I don't have time to waste today.

"Sorry Kai," Dr. Bennett said. He picked Kai up and threw him over him shoulder. Kai couldn't move, couldn't fight him. His limbs refused to cooperate as Dr. Bennett set him onto the operating table.

Dr. Caro was there as soon as Kai was released. Both researchers quickly pulled Kai's arms and legs over to there spots and buckled the straps in place. He was trapped on the table once again.

"He's too panicked," Dr. Caro said, pressing her fingers against Kai's wrist to take his pulse. "Should I knock him out?"

"Probably the best thing to do," Dr. Alice said. Kai couldn't see her anymore but he could hear that she was moving around the room. Above him, Dr. Bennett passed Dr. Caro the face mask. She strapped it on and Kai felt himself slip away.
