Strawberry Reef was so eager to enjoy the beach, she got there before the sun came up! She got a little drowsy waiting for everyone else though, and ended up falling asleep until lunchtime!
this cunty diva...oh my god, perfect. doesn't take up too much space, feels like the shy girl in a teen movie; a little coy but also not-like-other-girls lol
ALMOST as good as the previous pose, could even have the potential to be cuter 'cause of the hairstyle; but I don't really like how the cutie mark is on her right side, & sometimes the side-step can look weird. very cute, extra cute when it's paired with the previous pose, couple goals
I genuinely can't tell if this counts as a separate pose. the body mold looks like that of the above pony, but the head is only slightly tilted instead of entirely turned?? my confusion reflects my conflicted feeling on this one...it's SO cute...but is it cuter than the above pony? maybe they draw for 2nd place
unpopular (?) opinion, but I think the anthro poses are ADORABLE. I do NOT care that ponies shouldn't wear clothes, 'cause they just look so cute?? and this is coming from someone who usually HATES sculpted-in accessories (since imo it limited play, toys are usually pretty generic with poses for projection reasons)...that being said, some of the more athletic anthro poses, or that UGLY ASS rainbow dash, are uglyyyy
classic, but still fairly dynamic. I like it. but the fact that it's slightly tilted to the side annoys me a little bit 'cause you can't see the 'face' very well from her blank-flank side
another classic, polite. but not very dynamic (and I never had this pose as a kid, so it doesn't have any nostalgia working for it)
me personally I do think the mermaids count as separate poses ...obviously? this one is very cute, if this was a rank of ONLY the mermaid ponies, she would be number ONE. same vibe as side pose imo
looks very cute, I like this one a lot, I like that it's the mermaid version of my favourite side-facing pose. but there's waaaay better poses. plus, the fact that she's lying down becomes a bit meh when I think about the fact that we never got the quadruped ponies lying down, which might've been cute actually
in theory, it should be fine, like the other forward-facing poses...but something isn't right here. makes the tail look weird and flat, the hair kinda looks unintentionally shorter than normal, and the bend of her right front leg is different from the bend in the previous trot pose, so it makes me feel weird about where the theoretical 'knee/wrist' of this horse is
hate it. had this exact pinkie as a child (still have her) and she pissed me OFF as a four year old. why does she keep falling over. I understand that her hair looks like that because it's meant to be floating in water, but none of the other mermaid ponies have this, why. annoying. her tail is curled up but she's lying down which feels weird; can you imagine if a cat had it's tail up while laying down? I've had three cats and they never do this. wack. why are her hands like that?? if you want her to do the 'head in my hands, legs kicking in the air, lying on my tummy' pose...her head actually needs to be resting IN her hands. this just looks like she's explaining something, badly. is she preaching? shrugging? ew
burn this shit?? so odd! are you comfortable like that, rainbow?? I understand their tails are pretty fluid, but this makes it look like she's broken in half. I think it could've been saved if her tail laid flat, 'cause then it'd just look like she's sitting, but no, she's bent. I DID like that some of the mermaids had necklaces sculpted on, but I wish they were painted like the tails 'cause otherwise it looks a bit weird and some might joke that it's fr just part of their skin. plus, I know a lot of ponies already have holes in heir hooves in order to stand on certain sets, but the hole in this one is only for rainbow to hold something, which COULD'VE been held by changing the BRUSH/mirror(?) have a clip-on handle like LITERALLY ALL OTHER HOLDABLE ACCESSORIES?? children will lose accessories, which leaves this pony with an ugly, obvious hole in its hoof. yikes.
consider this a bonus feature: I dunno if the unicorns and pegasi count as separate 'poses' y'know? maybe I should've called this ranking molds instead of poses...but I will say that I think all of the above are very cute. my favourite is the anthro sweetie belle, but I also LOVE the lying-down one...that's how they should've done that mermaid pinkie
hate it. love it. meh, neutral. okay so the first pegasus pose here is bad; it's almost a regular standing pose, almost a front-facing trot pose...but instead of the front legs, it's the hind legs that imply the movement, which I don't like. I also don't like the fact that the head is almost unnaturally positioned in order to make room for those wings. the middle, anthro starsong is adorable, I like her VERY much. the final starsong here SHOULD be my favourite, right? I mean, it's basically the exact same pose as that first scootaloo WAAAAYYYY up this list in 1st place...right? the wings ruin it, entirely. in order to make room for the turned head, the wings have been pushed back way too far down her back, which not only looks weird but would be terrible for her core balance while theoretically flying. and personally I think they're too small, I genuinely prefer the clip-on fairy wings for the pegasi honestly
got one of my top 3 isos today, snow'el! i was very fortunate to be able to get her for a really good price from my good friend ravenwood thrifts. she was also kind enough to send me strawberry reef as a freebie!
