Visited some nurseries today (am researching citrus).
Found this strawberry plant for sale. Strawberry plants usually sell for between $4 - $7 each. This one was $4.25
However....... you can see that this plant has sent off a runner and created 3 extra new plants (green clumps on the left). Once placed in soil and watered, these little clumps will grow their own roots and can then be separated from each other to become whole new plants.
So today I actually got 4 strawberry plants for $4.25. Brilliant value!
