You wouldn't happen to have any suggestions on how to go about translating UtaPri games? I can understand some Japanese but when it comes to kanji I get lost, thought asking a fellow fan-girl would be wise
Well, since they're on PSP, if there's a lot of words you don't know I'm afraid probably all you can really do is play with a dictionary at your side D: For PC games there's software like ITH but on consoles you're out of luck for stuff like that. If you're playing at your computer, you have your choice of a lot of good dictionary sites and programs -- personally I like Goo dictionary (use 和英 for Japanese to English), Weblio, and for looking up unknown kanji by their radicals the JWPce word processor is great.
Do any of my followers possibly have other suggestions for our friend here? I'm afraid I don't really have any tips/do anything special, I speak enough Japanese that when I play otoge I just read :|a
I guess if anything, I would say don't feel like you have to get every line perfect. Sometimes I encounter lines where I vaguely remember what a kanji word means but not how it's pronounced, and in that case I don't bother looking it up since I can still basically understand the sentence, I just keep going.
