This is it, guys; the home stretch. @askmarshandbroflovski officially ends today and now to say some words about what this blog means to me.
I came in late in the game, maybe about halfway into the story. I never heard of it until I stumbled upon it in the south park tag, and I immediately loved the art style and dialog. Kyle and Stan totally acted the way I’d expect them to be at their age, and they were actually really insightful. In fact, they gave advice to everyone any way they could. And I instantly fell in love with it.
I saw all the drama, and sadness, and joy in each post, and I don’t think any other blog has made me care so much for characters before. I loved every boy more and more, and I think because of this blog, I grew to love South Park much more also.
I remember almost crying at points (Stan’s relapse, Cartman fucking with everyone’s messages, Craig’s situation) all of it felt so real and I felt as if I was apart of the action. And it was an absolute joy to experience.
Though the story and the characters are moving on now and this is their big curtain call, I wish all the best for @strawberrysharkcake and her superb writing skills and art. I can’t wait to see what other things she’ll bring to the world, and I’m glad I get to look back at the blog whenever I need a pick me up or I feel doubtful of my skills. Because these guys, animated and fictional they may be, resignate with me. I’ve felt what they felt, I support their uphill climbs to get themselves out of situations, and I celebrate their successes.
Thanks for the amazing blog, Sarah.
