A ragged-looking scarecrow trots over, holding out a neatly-woven basket stuffed with fresh fruits and veggies. It even has a red ribbon tied on the rim - a holiday gift from Wheatley Farms!
The charming gift was a surprise. Waheed’s eyes darted between the scarecrow and the basket, his mind always whirring with the possibility of a darker motive. Yet, as suspicious as he wanted to be, the figure before him seemed so...generous.
“Uh...thank you?” He took the basket gently, not expecting it to be as heavy as it was. Man, this thing was really full. “It’s not poisoned, is it?” He had meant it as a joke, but quickly realized that it may have been more offensive than he intended; that was just the nature of his big, fat mouth. “I, uh, didn’t mean that. I was kidding. Sorry. Really, thanks a lot.”

Goodness gracious, Wes doesn’t think he’s ever seen anyone looking quite so...Well.There’s definitely something about this particular someone, but he can’t put his finger on it for the life of him. Regardless, they seem plenty friendly, and without missing a beat the mime smiles brightly at the other, raising his hand in greeting before carefully taking the basket when it was offered.
What did he do to deserve this?How sweet!
He leans forward and carefully kisses each of the scarecrow’s cheeks, both as a more proper “hello” (for him at least), and a display of his appreciation for the gift. Thank you so much!!
