The weekend wasn't the ideal time to really put in extra work. Not for him anyway. However, the annual gala was taking place this evening. Inspector Kogami had been one of the few that were willingly showed up to this event, which, in theory, he should be making fun of. Who was that benevolent? Sasayama surprisingly cleaned up nice in the suit and tie look. He shook his head, walking up with either hand stuffed in his pocket. "Nah." bringing a hand out to grab one of the fancy sushi rolls. "Came for the good food." he raises both brows before stuffing the sushi roll into his mouth, completely shameless. The only reason he came was because the food was comparably noticeable in the difference of quality to the usual cafeteria options available to them. Being an enforcer, nights like this were in fact worth going to work while off the clock.

“No I don’t,” she protested, had she maybe gone a little overboard with shopping. Maybe she hadn’t said no today. Maybe she’d gotten Tenzing everything she’d asked for. But she didn’t really see how that was a problem anyways. “I didn’t fall for the puppy dog eyes,” she said. “I deliberately decided to get her whatever she wanted. I wasn’t being suckered it was a choice I was making.” She turned a little to look at the teenager excited about the new handheld game system she’d managed to get out of what was supposed to be back to school shopping. “I think she deserves it.”
