Do you ever think about how dedicated BTS are to music and cry
They could've let producers feed them songs, but they didn't. The vocal line could've left the writing and producing to the rap line, but instead they strive to improve in every aspect of their music. They all write, they all either produce or are learning to produce. In just a year they released so much music that they personally worked hard to make from the studio to the recording booth to the stage. On top of that, they've released many of those songs for free.
Not to mention their love for their albums. Our current music industry is an industry run by singles. Most (mainstream) artists aim to put out radio/gp-friendly songs. Not a song that makes you think, not an instrumental that experiments, but the same old lyrics or beat. That's what sells, but there's no heart, because these songs are being made for the sake of profit. And outside of these singles, people don't really listen to or value entire albums anymore. Name one song off Drake's last album besides God's Plan, Nice For What, or In My Feelings; you probably can't unless you're a fan. People just don't care anymore, and neither do artists or radio stations or the media. As of 2018, albums have become a thing of the past.
But BTS value not only putting out title tracks that they made for them (not to cater to the gp or grab more radio spins for charting) and carry important messages, but also put their hearts and souls into their entire albums. They use their music to speak out on what they believe in. Namjoon even refers to their albums as their children. ARMYs have reflected this, because many b-sides off their albums have been treated better/appreciated for what they are in ways that I haven't really seen coming from people lately. BTS are something special.
They have such a passion for music; a strong love for their art. They use it to make statements. They're not greedy or cocky about their abilities either, because they're perfectly content releasing so many of their projects for free (this year alone we got Hope World, Ddaeng, mono, and Promise). They embody what true artists are. It's so reshing to see, especially in a modern music industry run by manufacturered, ingenuine quick-hits. I believe that quality is what brought them this far and gives them the ability to continue making history.
