Getting into TTRPG AP games, podcasts interviews, etc

Here are some pointers for anyone out there that is looking to get into Actual Plays, Podcasts, being interviewed on Podcasts about your content, and more! 👇 

Note: I wrote this based on my experiences in the TTRPG/DND space,hopefully this will help someone ♥

👉 First, be present in the community, network! - If ppl can’t get a general vibe of who you are/how you work online, it’s hard to cast you.

👉 (active) Discord communities - many TTRPG oriented discord servers have LFG (Looking for Game) & Casting Call channels. Being present & at least somewhat active in those communities makes you more likely to get cast. It’s all about the vibes. 👉 making alerts/saved searches for TTRPG / Actual Play casting calls on social media. Some of it may be manual.

👉 being a streamer yourself in the space helps, but certainly isn’t the end all be all. Sometimes it takes one to know or be one.

👉 if you’re not a streamer, you can try being active in a streaming community. Make sure your intent is good, don’t go into things expecting immediate results. Being over-eager/pushy can get you blacklisted & ppl talk.

👉 Be kind, & remember no one owes you. Wait your turn.

👉 Tiktok is becoming more and more a place to keep up to date on casting calls for actual play games. Searching and sharing those things will make you more likely to see them. Instagram too!
