Five little munchkins who went with us everywhere including trapping last week when our group loaded 47 cats on board the vanpool in 2 days to get #spayandneuter performed with #thetnrproject group!! These beautiful little guys and gals were saved and will have awesome lives now that they are eating regularly and being loved on constantly. It's not pretty or there for kittens. This little bottle baby love nugget was pulled with his 4 siblings from a distribution warehouse last week. They are just now transitioning to lapping up formula+food out of a shallow dish. Thank you so much to the rescue who believes wholeheartedly in #tnrrescue and who stepped up to help take this one and his siblings (you know who you are!) so we could stay on the streets trapping and performing #tnr which is so desperately needed!! We need more rescues to step up and help support local trappers and team up with us so we can hand over kittens we trap and keep moving forward. This rescue is also training all of their volunteers to TNR so they can help with all of the calls coming in from their community. I am so elated that a rescue is truly doing all they can to turn off the overflow on the streets. Guess what? Another box of kittens this week was on its way to the shelter where they would have been euthanized. They are 3 weeks old and there are 5 of them. They are considered too young to intake and their shelter euthanized 700 cats and kittens in July alone. Mama is friendly and nursing them in a large dog crate. We're looking for a foster who will keep them another 5 weeks and work with the babies. We aren't a rescue, don't have a facility and they need a place to go temporarily. Can anyone step up? They are in Azusa, rescued from Downey. Mama will be fixed once done nursing and a rescue will take them for adoption when ready. That was the only way we agreed to go get them. Meet Darwin! Pulled from a car lot in Covina Wednesday night, a wonderful restaurant employee took his breaks to socialize this sweet guy and taught him to trust. He needs a home off the streets. He is approx 6 months old, loves to play and he needs a buddy! In the last picture, he's trying to figure out how to use a kitty bed instead of concrete for the first time. He'll get the hang of it!
