I think it’s because the baby involved is a part of what was a really weird plot device and a part of the bit of the series that was a MESS. At least that’s what it’s like for me.
That’s a big part of it, I’m sure. I hated that whole sub-plot that never even went anywhere in the show, I guess I want to escape from that in fic. But also just parentlock in general I find hard to stomach, probably because it’s very gooey and fluffy and I can only take so much of that.
