Why bother training functional strength? I just want to get huge!! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ 5 Reasons to Train to get STRONG💪 1.) Training generally is broken down into phases. Though there are phases that "DO IT ALL"; there are limits. If you have been working in the hypertrophy range of repetitions, a strength phase can break your plateau and lead to more GAINS. 2.) Training to be Strong is FUNCTIONAL. When you can deadlift or squat heavy weight you will be stronger in real life. Those lifts will carry over to real life and other movements. Some movements(like machines) don't always carry over to real life and other movements though. It is one thing to have sexy muscles and another to know how to use them. 3.) It is FUN and EMPOWERING! Yes. I know this is shocking but there is nothing quite like having one of my female clients lift as much weight as some of the guys! Or have a guy deadlift nearly 2x his bodyweight. Getting strong is a long patient journey. But it is really awesome to see the weights go up week after week. 4.) You will AGE WELL and will have LESS INJURIES(with proper form). Yes, that functional thing again. Strong people know how to move. Have to move that dresser? No problem. Strong people can address real life situations and crush them instead of getting crushed! No injuries mean more time to train. 5.) When you go back to your bodybuilding routine or hypertrophy training, you will have huge GAINS! Traums to the muscle is simple and you can't replace the power of sheer poundage. More pounds under more time = MORE RESULTS all things being equal. Consider a strength phase this fall and winter💪❤ . . . . . #strengthtrainingcoach #strengthcoach #powerlifting #westsidebarbell #westside #powerbuilding #fitnessinspiration #fitnessmotivation #fitnessworkout #hypertrophy #bodybuilding #wellnesscoach #fitnesstip #strengthandconditioning #athletictraining #lifecoaching #fitnessfam #vanfitfam #vnft (at Gold's Gym West Broadway) https://www.instagram.com/p/B2-CyDlHASt/?igshid=16yg1c8x1y0yw
