I saw your tags on the German post and wanted to help :D It's pronounced the same, but the emphasis is different. German has a lot of words that have been combined, like "festnehmen" = "arrest someone", but the words on its own mean "hard/firm/tight" (fest) and "take" (nehmen) so if you use them separately it's like, to take s.o. hard. In the latter case you emphasize the "nehmen" because "fest" has become an adverb, I guess? Same with zusammen kommen (come together), emphasis on "kommen" :D

So it sounds like it’s a stress/prosody thing? Like the difference in English between a BLACKboard (which can be green) and a black BOARD (which can only be black).
