Meet Lauren Foster from Stretch Recipes
Are you ready to savesome money and eat better?
What is your product?
Stretch Recipes is an app that lets you choose your budget, pick your meals and automatically get coupons. When I started, I had a simple mission of creating a cool app where you could build a list, and a budget, and cook meals for the week. As I started testing it with people, it grew a life of its own. We’re making progress — building the right team to bring the project to market. Soon it will be a one stop shop to get in and out of the grocery store and help people enhance the way they cook and eat.
What’s your motivation to develop Stretch Recipes?
I’m on a mission to help people eat better and save more. Food, nutrition, budget – providing people with tools and resources that improve their lives.
Who are you trying to help?
Stretch Recipes is for everyone, but here are 3 customer examples:
Customer 1 – has a small budget. Not enough to make it work, 50-60 bucks to get through a week, but wants to eat healthy and feed the family as well as they can.
Customer 2 – dietary needs. Some people have to adjust to a new diet because of a health need – can you give them a tool to help them see what they can eat. Give them something to help them not feel defeated by what’s happened.
Customer 3 – somebody that loves to save money – someone who loves couponing and the reward of saving cash.
How does the app solve a need with technology?
We’ve been on this planet for thousands of years and we’ve been defeating ourselves time and time again in the food space. Technology is here to make it easy and accessible for all – sharing knowledge and saving time. IF you can do something about it, step up and so something about it!
How do you use technology to communicate with your team?
Text messages, emails, phone calls … more emails. We are looking for tools to make it easier. Right now sharing documents (Dropbox, google drive) but it would be nice to have it all in one spot that’s convenient with all document types. There’s a need for some more productivity for sure.
