Because, that’s generally what happens to people when big ass rocks fall on them, traumatic injuries. And in his case, a broken spine/crushed pelvis and/or legs. Like, he should not have gotten out as injury free as he did.
And like, why not? This show is like, 90% cardfights anyways, which he can do from a wheelchair. I can’t imagine him being hindered *that* much by something like that. Like it’s Shion, he’s not gonna let something like that hold him back.

...The show literally outright tells us the Chrono Jet is Chrono Dran all grown up. We literally see Chrono Dran’s card transform into Chronojet in Chrono’s hand.
I mean, I’d say that’s solid proof that Chronojet Dragon is the grown up/future from of Chrono Dran.

so what stride gate episode 38 is trying to tell me is that
-Shin is an unreliable narrator not only because he claims there’s striding and G guardians and the whole she-bang back before original season one, but because there’s no way him and Mark whiting were winning nationals 😃
-Shin was gay and in love for chronos dilf dad
-Shin seriously did not watch Misaki like at all
