Orville Jinx
Two years ago, my sister got tickets to see Orville Peck play in Montreal on the 4th of July. A week before the show, he canceled. Due to burnout.
I get an alert via Spotify that he’s coming to San Diego on October 1st. I buy 2 tickets and ask my sister to be my plus one. It’s a two-fer - her birthday present and a trip to San Diego.
Guess who just canceled his LA & San Diego shows? This time, he’s lost his voice. “Hang on to your tickets. … reschedule, blah blah blah.”
I scrambled and got us the the last 2 seats together for “Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors” instead.
If it’s offered and it’s not in voucher form, I’ll probably refund my Orville tickets because who knows when the rescheduled show will be and doubt my sister will be able to make another trip from Maine.
