The debut EP Just Another Guy from String Factory (Dino Brewster) is here! These four tracks, recorded at home over several months, deal with alienation and the difficulties of building social traction against the ticking clock, reflected with his usual humorous and candid tone.

The title-track ‘Just Another Guy’ comes with a DIY music video created by Dino and a small informal team. It depicts a person’s experiences revisiting their hometown, after having been away for many years, following personal tragedy. Filming this was a painstaking labor of love, and can be seen at his YouTube channel here.

So, my brother's debut album is finally out! Called Going South, by the artist String Factory, it's twelve tracks of self-recorded grown up Britpop. Sardonic lyrics and strong hooks are in abundance.

In addition to going up on streaming, we also had the CD copies arrive today. The packaging looks great, and they'll be perfect to sell at tonight's launch gig at The Queen's Head in Easton (Bristol, UK). Music starts at 19:30, and will be livestreamed from the artist's YouTube channel. Support is provided by Teorstan, Fletcher, James, and The Proxy Youth.

Lastly in awesome album news – a year ago I commissioned an album review from the Goin Off podcast, with Mues and Rap Critic. We're longtime fans of the show, and they were patient with him while he finished recording, to get the review out this week. You can hear what they had to say on the record here.

And here we go, six days 'til the new String Factory single – a remix of St. Stephen's by legendary producer DJ Rozwell, of solo discography and KFC Murder Chicks fame, commissioned to celebrate the first anniversary of the Going South album.
