Any advice for painting your non-dominant hand So it doesn't look like a preschooler did it?
Er, painting your dominant hand.
Worst answer ever: practice
Seriously, I used to be a huge mess too but the only thing that made it better was doing it over and over again. If you have time time and patience, grab a cheap bottle of polish and just practice, paint your trouble hand, take it off and do it again.
But some tips: paint your dominant hand first - that way you don’t have to deal with wet nails when you need to concentrate.
Take your time! Put on some music (tv can be distracting if something good comes up on the screen and you look up to see), sit down comfortably at a flat surface and do it in a well lit room. I also practiced by taking a paint brush in my spare time and mock painted the nails to help your hand get steady. You can even take a pen and trace your nails with it to help you improve your fine control over the brush. But yeah, a bit of time and patience and you’ll be there!
