Book Addicts Anonymous!

So my friend and I decided to co-author a blog about books in order to keep ourselves busy during quarantine. That blog is called Book Addicts Anonymous.

All of my book reviews will still be on this blog, however we will be using that blog to discuss upcoming books, and our favourite books to read in different seasons, booktubes most popular books, and many other challenges. So if you are a book nerd or you just want to get some recommendations for books to read, then check out that blog. :D

HI!

My friend Abbie and I decided that a good way to keep ourselves occupied during quarantine would be to co-author a blog about books, because that is what we know best. 

We both have our own primary blogs but are using this one in order to bring all of our ideas together. My blog is called: strugglesofasleepybookworm and Abbie’s is called: bookishnerd-posts.

We will be using this blog to do various different tags and reading challenges and as an outlet to talk about our favourite books.

Hey everyone!

So I know I’m a little bit late to the party, but I only found out about it earlier in the week, but I have decided to join the magical readathon. So, because I only joined it on April 20th, my readathon will end on May 20th.

Here’s a little bit of a background if you’re unsure what the magical readathon is. So essentially it’s a reading challenge that is based on the OWL’s that the characters of Harry Potter take at Hogwarts. So I’ve left a link below to the website, there is a guide that explains all the magical careers you can go into and once you have chosen the career you would like to do, it tells you which OWL’s you would need in order to achieve this career. So essentially there are up to 12 OWL’s and each OWL represents one book that you have to read. On the website below there is also a list of prompts for each of the OWL’s that gives you a hint as to what sort of book you should read.

I chose the alchemist as my career as it required me to take all twelve OWL’s and these are the ones I’ve shown. Some of the books overlap and therefore in total I have 10 books to read for the challenge. If you read the prompts you’ll understand why it is that I have chosen these books. I’ve listed below which books are for each subject just for your own interests. The Astronomy/Potions book isn’t in the photo because I have already finished reading it.
