no bc they are THE satosugu lovechildren
"uhm akshually gege confirmed they were just best friends-"
He never said they were just best friends, he just said they were best friends period. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT THEY CAN'T BE MORE OR NEVER THOUGHT OF EACH OTHER AS MORE.
"b-but gege never said they were in love-"
GOD FORBID that a man living in a HOMOPHOBIC COUNTRY working with a HOMOPHOBIC PUBLISHER is allowed to just IMPLY stuff about a GAY ship.
If JJK was peak, Satoru would've introduced himself to Yuji in EP1 as "Satoru Geto" and he'd have a wedding ring on his finger the whole time. I'm sorry, I don't make the rules, but that's just facts
the fact that suguru is more emotional than satoru is so interesting but it's also hilarious because i imagine satoru accidently letting slip about some of the not cool stuff from his childhood and he turns and suguru's just looking at him like this:
Ya know... GoGe has the potential to be so interesting to me. It could be really fun and compelling.
But because that portion of the fandom is so hellbent on feminizing Suguru, turning him into what is essentially a stand-in for a woman, making him weak and meek and "princessy"? And turning Satoru into this dommy alpha daddy top ass dude, with such dubious concern for consent?
Idk it just ends up being so weird and unappealing and I get turned off from it.
Whenever I think about the different regional accents and dialects in Japan, I think about how funny the idea of Satoru and Suguru's accents being wildly different when they first met is:
Satoru is from Kyoto, which was like imperial central back in the day, so of course his Japanese is somewhat formal and sort of melodic.
Suguru, however, is (likely) a country boy from the middle of bumfuck nowhere, so his Japanese is quite informal and closer to what I call "delinquent speak".
It's like the difference between someone who speaks Queen's English and someone with a Cockney accent (at least that's how I see it, I could be wrong :P).
Even better is the idea that Suguru probably tried to speak more formally to "fit in", whereas Satoru would pick up some delinquent speak from Suguru who occasionally let it slip.
"Made for each other" but it’s the creator making their initials match, making them have matching scars, matching trauma, matching strength, making sure they look good next to each other, and saying one cannot exist without the other.
"Meant for each other" but it’s them finding meaning in one another, both of them finding meaning in their lives because of the other, and both of them gaining purpose, a driving force, and the will to live because of each other.
