Sorry if this is a stupid question, but is there a requirement for how old a fic has to be to be submitted? I only started writing for satosugu like a year and a half ago so I don’t really have anything “old”.
There is no limit on how old a work has to be. It could be a piece created in 2017, but you can also create a work specifically for the purpose of submitting it to RE:Bang. We’ve introduced this rule because we don’t want to be event police, background checking people and trying to divine if someone hasn’t changed their fic’s date posted. Also, even more importantly, it’s not that serious! We’re here to have fun ✨
Here’s how we’ve phrased this in the FAQ:
While the idea behind the event is for people to submit older works, to celebrate existing art and writing and infuse it with new life, participants are free to submit any work that they would like to see appreciated again.
It’s a little vague on purpose, because we don’t necessarily want to encourage people to create new works to submit for the event, but yes, it’s 100% allowed. We’re aware that established relationships can be a hard requirement to meet, particularly for writers, and we’d much rather have someone participate with a newer work than not participate at all!
Also are we allowed to submit more than one older piece?

As for your second question: we’re going to get everyone’s opinion on this during the interest check, but tentatively yes! We’re thinking of allowing each participant to submit up to two works (or up to two sets of works, since artists are allowed and encouraged to submit multiple pieces for a single AU/headcanon).
