"No, no. Hold on a sec. No, I get it's important, but, just bare with me, will ya?" It wasn't often Stu broke into the bakery after work with the intention of actually baking, but, this was a special occasion. "Look at this!" he chirped, slowly lifting his creation out of the tin and onto a plate. "Whatever news you've got will have to wait. This might be the best banana bread ever made in the history of the world, man. We have to try it." He lifted his knife and sliced up two pieces. "Taste. Then talk."

"Look at this!" Stu grinned, all but dumping a handful of freshly picked foxglove onto the table between them. His hands were covered in mud blades of grass that had gotten between him and his prize. "Real pretty, ain't it? Found it myself." He looked over to Daniel and then back down to his find, scratching his right hand persistently. "I was thinking of crushing up the petals and putting them over a cake I'm gonna make. Would be like real life art. You ever seen something like that before? I bet you haven't. See, I'm trying to do things that nobody else has ever thought to do before. This one'll be a killer, baby! Folks'll be lining the streets."

"Sir?" Stu knocked on the bedroom door. It was the early hours of the morning and everything around them was in darkness. "Da-" he caught himself, "Sir. C'mon. Wake up." he knocked the door again, small knuckles gentle and unsure of themselves. "Look, if you don't open up, I'm gonna have to just come in, and I don't know if you sleep naked or not!" he was trying to push a playful tone, but, it faultered before he'd even finished his sentence. "Can you please, just, wake up."

"I didn't wake you up, did I?" Stu shouted up from outside Sam's home after having spent the last several minutes pelting her window with stones of varying size. "Do you think I could come in for a bit? I know it's late but I can't sleep! It's freezing out here, man! Please?" He did his best to give exaggerated puppy-eyes, given how far apart they were. "I'll be good, I promise! You'll barely even know I'm here!" Unlike their neighbours, who likely all knew by now that he was around.

"You have the power to say anything you want to on these things, right?" Stu asked, looking all around the room to try and avoid looking at Gale. "Like, you could write a completely made up story and make everyone believe it?" he tapped his fingers together, pausing suddenly to scratch an itch on his forearm. He slapped his hand off of his arm multiple times. Smushing his palm into his sweater. "Have you ever done something like that? I mean, for the greater good, obviously."

"Hey, look at this." Stu, sat at a picnic bench, ripped a page out of his journal and began to fold the paper into a small, tightly packed origami star. "Pretty neat, huh?" He flicked it into the air and caught it in his mouth, chewing on it obnoxiously. "I could teach you if you want? I been teachin' so many people my gums have started bleeding!" he giggled, flashing his teeth, mulched paper clinging to enamel.

"Okay, fine! you twisted my arm, you can come in. But just this once, alright?" Stu scrambled to the boarded up entrance of the abandoned theatre, blocking off the rotted gap in the boards with his body. "But first, you gotta pinky swear you won't touch anything. And most importantly! You won't tell nobody about it. This is real special for me, it's like - my sanctuary." His features turned sharply, from happy to so serious it bordered aggression. "So pinky swear! Swear on your life!" he held out his hand for the other to lock fingers if they so choose to accept.

Stu looked up from his place at the picnic bench. He'd been sat there for a while, scribbling furiously onto a piece of paper with crayons of varying colour. It took a while, but, he eventually realised someone was looking at him. He didn't like that. It made him nervous. "What?" he barked, his agitation clear in his tone. "Have you never seen someone journaling before?" This newly ignited anger was enough to make him drop the crayon and screw the piece of paper up into a ball. "There! You ruined it! Are you happy now?"
