AT CARPENTERS WORKSHOP, A STUART HAYGARTH LAMP TAKES REUSE AS ITS MANTRA
THE DAILY PIC: If yesterday’s Pic was about a cabinet that reminded its owners to reduce their consumption, today’s is about a “chandelier” that takes reuse as its mantra, as do many of the works by the British designer Stuart Haygarth. His “Flame,” flagged to me by Carpenter’s Workshop Gallery, is built from bits of old glassware that might otherwise be discarded. That has the advantage of also making it less dull to look at than so much new stuff.
