STUDENT SIXTEEN: INTERVIEW SESSION

Student J: Ma’am Flowberry, uhm.. okay lang po ba magtanong? Since halos, you know, close naman po tayo.
Ms. Flowberry: Go lang ‘nak, ano ba yang itatanong mo?
Student J: Ang weird po kasi bumalik po kami dito sa olopsc.. I mean, ano po bang plano niyo po sa’min? Sure rin po ako na may alam po kayo kung anong nangyayari.
Ms. Flowberry: Anak, I’m gonna be really honest with you. Bawal kasi talaga sabihin kung anong nalalaman ko ngayon. Ganon lang rin si Sir Sambata kanina. Kaya nga ako pinalit eh..
Student J: Kahit mga information lang po tungkol sa anong mangyayari sa’min..?
Ms. Flowberry: Bawal talaga ‘nak, pasensya na ah..
(The room went quiet as Student J nodded silently)
Ms. Flowberry: Anyways, before we start, nakarecord itong session natin. Heads up lang, required kasi para sa research namin.
(Student J remains silent while Ms. Flowberry exchange a warming smile)
Ms. Flowberry: Sige, let's start with your name and occupation.
Student J: I.. sige, uhm.. sige. Pasensya na po, medyo masama rin po pakiramdam ko ngayon.
Ms. Flowberry: No worries.
Student J: Sige, uhm.. I’m Estelle Harrington—
Ms. Flowberry: Sandali, ikaw yung jowa ng isang famous CEO right?
Student J: Ah, opo. We’re engaged na po kasi kaya I just thought using his last name before getting ready would be a credit to him. (Chuckles)
Ms. Flowberry: Ay, ikaw ha!
(The two can be heard exchanging chuckles)
Ms. Flowberry: Anyways, anong occupation mo ‘nak?
Student J: I’m a psychiatrist, I tend patients into therapy sessions by emailing them. I do set schedules for my time as well since that's also a job as a psychiatrist.
However, while I was going to work I.. got abducted..
Ms. Flowberry: Ah, oo nga.. pasensya na sa unwelcoming atmosphere ha..
Student J: I-It’s alright ma’am, next question na po tayo.
Ms. Flowberry: Right, uhm.. may mga allergies ka ba?
Student J: Allergies..? Uhm, sa pagkaka-alam ko po, I’m lactose intolerance po.
Ms. Flowberry: Ayun, what about phobias? Since you’ve mentioned that medyo nahihilo ka ngayon, skip nalang natin yung part ng symptoms.
Student J: N-nga naman, uhm.. phobias..
(Student J remains silent as she thinks before speaking once again)
Student J: I mean, wala naman akong phobias or anything rin eh.
Ms. Flowberry: I see, I’ll take note of that. One last question before you go on your way.
Student J: Ano po?
Ms. Flowberry: In your batch, who do you think you trust after almost how many years? Who do you think isn't trustworthy? Why is that?
Student J: Ay, grabe naman po ‘yan ma’am, uhm.. let’s see.. It's been a long time since I was with them kasi eh. (chuckles)
Ms. Flowberry: Hindi mo kailangan isama lahat ah, who do you think last sa batch ni’yo ang trustworthy or not. It can be one to two people.
Student J: Right, okay, thank you for that Ma’am.
(Student J stays quiet as Ms. Flowberry was busy writing down notes on her clipboard before Student J speaks again)
Student J: Uhm, let’s see, sa nakausap ko ngayon.. si Clarisse yung masasabi kong maasahan ko dito. I-I mean, no shade for my circle of friends ha! She's with me during college years and after we graduated, we just sorta click nalang rin.
Si ate mangie rin yung masasabing kong may tiwala ako. Para siyang nanay sa buong grupo namin and halos lahat umaasa sakanya kasi she’s the oldest.
Sa hindi ko kayang ibigay yung trust ko.. I’d say Jobert. (Chuckles)
Ms. Flowberry: Oh, natawa ka sa pangalan niya?
Student J: Sorry ma’am, naalala ko lang kasi gaano kapangit pakinggan pangalan niya after naming gumraduate. (Laughs)
Ms. Flowberry: Huy siraulo ‘to! Kaklase mo pa rin naman ‘yan.. pero masasabi ko rin, ang pangit nga ng pangalan niya.
Student J: ‘Di ba? A-anyways, siya ta’s si Natalie.
Ms. Flowberry: Eh? May problema ka ba kay Nathy?
Student J: W-wala naman po! Nothing personal is in our way. Pero I think in this place right now.. I don't think I should be trusting her at this time.
Ms. Flowberry: Alright, I’ll take note of that. Thank you for participating as well sa session natin, may tanong ka pa ba?
Student J: I.. ay, oo nga! Sa’n kami manggagaling nito ma’am? Sa room pa ba kami or aalis na po agad?
Ms. Flowberry: Dadalhin muna kayo sa room, after that papalabasin na kayo.
Student J: And you're sure of that?
Ms. Flowberry: Why? Hindi ka ba naniniwala sa’kin?
Student J: H-hindi naman po sa gan’on! I.. Naisip ko lang na..
(Student J suddenly went quiet before she spoke once again)
Student J: N.. Nevermind po..
