“Late Nite Jeepney Joyride”
This was a Personal Attack:
No one informed me that techblr and lxblr existed, and I am furious.
Finalized full scale packaging design for Bulmers Forbidden Fruit Festival. (Work done during selected discipline week 5: 8th - 12th April 2019)
Ronnie’s Style Inspo [31/?] → Lauren Lake
Hey, if you could fill this questionnaire for school for me out, that would be cool I guess.
Here it is!
I'm designing a sleepwear collection this time, and I need to do research on customers in order to make successful designs. Thanks!
Design package project. Made in a day so don't judge to harshly :)
Waves! (concept game master-post)
What is the game?
Waves is going to be a 2-D puzzle plat-former, that follows 4 characters, each with their own special abilities to be used to traverse the dangerous environment and solve puzzles. The abilities are, a double jump, ground slam, heavy suit to lift heavy objects and the ability to interact with the environment and plant life.
The player will often run into instances where the backpack will be needed to be removed and placed to access a terminal, by plugging it into the power source next to it. When that happens, the player will interact with the terminal and start a mini-game, the mini-game will have many different kinds of designs to it, either it is a game using frequency of waves or surviving the firewall in a twin stick shooter style. When these mini-games are completed the player will exit the terminal and continue on with the game. Each time a player uses the terminal these mini-games will become progressively more and more difficult. But is a good way to add another layer of fun to the game.
Continuing on the physics based puzzle using constructive waves, the player will use waves and constructive waves to find the path needed for the node to be put into it’s spot to complete the puzzle. so a round node is sitting on the flat line, being restricted by barriers the node cannot pass through but the waves can. the player will need to send the waves at the right time to launch/Move the node to the needed spot to solve the puzzle.
Is there combat?
Yes there will be combat, but it will be rather infrequent. Combat is not a focus in the game, so instead of fighting, using environmental elements to progress are preferred. An example would be, using the ground slam character to cause physics objects to fall onto the threat so direct engagement isn't needed. Projectiles like bullets from a turret are to be used, but they are easy to see and avoid.
What engine will be used?
Unity
List of mechanics?
Physics based puzzles: Pulleys, levers, frequency scaling (high, Low), Constructive waves.
Movement: Standard 2-D movement (walking, running, jumping, crouching), Advanced 2-D movement (Mantling, climbing, wall jumping, rolling, swinging)
Environmental hazards: Dangerous plants and animals, pits, explosive/flammable material, dangerous heights, traps, Turrets, Security defenses, lasers, ETC...
Theme? (Art Style?) (Story?)
The art style has been decided on a, cartoon/Anime style, with a Near-Future-esque dystopian society theme.
A story based in a world where a government has a dictator take over and close off a large portion of land mass, restricting entry in and out with an iron grip. There are two species in this world the anthros and Humans, anthros are the discriminated race, most likely because they have more physical advantages than humans, so humans created a virus which systematically weakens them. All the while the dictator is covering it up saying it is a "natural disease of the anthros" and the whole game goes to solving this sickness, finding a cure, and stopping the dictators rule over the land. it's propagated as a "natural" virus, and discourages humans to not do any research into any form of vaccination, as it would be “too expensive" for the government to fund, and the illness "doesn't affect the majority population" so the research is a futile and wasteful effort.
Dialogue will appear in a visual novel style, with the characters talking with the dialogue, with facial expressions to match with the dialogue presented.
Other things needed?
Artist, environmental artist, Coder, 2-D animator, music designer. ETC...
Is everything listed before enough to make a game?
YES.
