Let's talk about exams.
I get annoyed when teachers and patents ask you to get good marks. In reality when they are telling you to get good marks they mean that you should get good marks because the school you go to is a competition and I don't care if you have learnt stuff or not, you get good marks because you need to be better than others .
But school is a place to learn and not to write exams and compete with others. School are meant for children to share with each other and not compete. They go there to learn stuff together so that in the future they can work on the problems of the society as one. And you bringing in competitions does not do that. It instead makes the children feel that life is a competition and if you don't do well then you are not gonna get the love you deserve.
People may say that exams will help teachers to see how much the student has understood but thats not the case at all. If you actually wanted to know how much the student has understood you'd work on it and explain the student later on the topics he didn't understand. But instead you don't do any of that and then directly tell us that we have to study more efficiently. Like , people why do you think I would come to school if I could study efficiently on my own without your help?? I came here so that you explain those things (which actually have no use ) to me so that I understand.
I hate how toxic exams are.
DAY 234 - DAY 236 ~ 30 June,2021- 02 July,2021
7:15PM
These days I just log onto Tumblr to see what other people are up to, well, it's not instagram or Twitter.. there are mostly non-celebrities here.. but I still like it, though I obsessed a lot over celebrities and I still do though a lot lesser now:)
They say you can never go on doing things that are good for you or are adding to your personality or whatever.. you'll tire at some point of time. Somehow. And you don't really want to go back.. you are reluctant yet you'll have to. I spend a lot of time inspiring myself. I get short of inspiration in a short while :)
Its raining now. And the weather outside is, what they say, Romantic. I don't even know why I said this. I don't know why I say a lot of stuff. So, before I blabber any more, I've gotta sign off. Bye.
Rant
Why can’t schools understand that online learning is not the same as normal classes? Just because we are at home doesn’t mean we are suddenly smart! We are still the same students who need extra help and tests are not the way to help us. What is the point of giving tests when you don’t even know what to write?
I’m so tired of teachers saying “now that you are at home you must be not doing anything... you must be wasting your time”. Well guess what? Now I have to study more because I get nothing from virtual classes and have to depend on self studying. Not all of us have the resources to study online okay. So stop assuming what we are doing at home!
I get it that this is our best option for now and we should be grateful but I just want people to be a little considerate towards us and stop stressing us out. That’s it. I don’t mean to offend anyone I am just trying to get this out of mind.
When your grammar and style teacher begs you not to cram a paper full of jargon and not overcomplicate sentences (AKA For God’s sake keep it simple, concise, and clear because that’s proper English) but your history teacher wants you to use fancier language/more jargon because it makes you sound more professional.
Remember a time when definitions were supposed to help?
