The Infinite Wrench is our theatrical mechanism that unleashes a barrage of two-minute plays. Each play offers something different--funny, profound, elegant, disgusting, topical, irrelevant, terrifying, or a song; all tackle the here-and-now and are inspired by the experiences of the performers. It is the Neo-Futurists’ ongoing and ever-changing attempt to shift the conventions of live performance and we are doing so many things, things in plays, that you should come and check it out for yourself.

New plays every week; different show every time! If you’ve seen the show once, you’ve seen the show once.

Jerry Schwartz was the biggest fan of his high school football team, and his decision to come to Florida State was largely impacted by his desire to attend a school with a great football program. So far this semester, Schwartz has been seen not only attending baby bio, but also bringing with him a garnet over-sized foam finger and doing the war chant at his professor’s every pause. I’m not sure what I’m doing

I just found out that there’s a program for full-time college students at the Lyric Opera of Chicago! The problem is that I’m not really sure how it works.

Here’s what I do know: The program is called NEXT. You can register for it for free. You’re eligible to get $20 tickets to selected shows if you are a full-time college student. You must present a valid student ID upon entry. 

Here’s what I do not know: I do not know how to actually receive the tickets. 

As I was writing this post, I figured it out!

1.You go to the webpage about the NEXT program. Here’s the link:

2. On the page, there will be a link to the shows that are eligible for the discount. Click the link for the show you want. 

3. A calendar of only a few selected dates and times will be available to you for discounted tickets. Click “Buy Tickets” for a day and time that works for you!

4. Select your tickets!

5. The discount will be applied at checkout and you must print your tickets at home!

I got really excited about this program because A. It’s an AMAZING deal and B. Steven Pasquale and Laura Osnes are starring in a production of Carousel starting tomorrow and going through May 3rd!

I really wanted to go, but none of the NEXT discount days work for me. I certainly can’t afford the regular price. 

I hope that someone gets use out of this post and gets to go see it for $20! Maybe I will get to take advantage of this deal for something wonderful in the future!
