Here’s another fun tidbit about life as an expat… American driver’s licenses don’t transfer in the Netherlands. You can’t just take a test, either. You have to pay for driving instruction. So, today, I did something I never thought I would do again: I took a driving lesson. After hundreds of thousands of miles driven across the States, I’m unlearning many habits and rules. Currently I’m being driven home by the next student driver (who is a bit wibbly behind the wheel, bless her).
