It's studying for exams, so giving nights and days, everything.

Sitting all the day long in front of desk and trying to focus hard has its ultimate result too - legs going numb every now and then. I guess every med student is familiar with this 'med numbness'??

PS. I miss surgery & casualty soooo bad (been in & out of the OT the last days of November))) and also I MISS NOVEMBER already:(

15th of August// Monday

"It's just another day where I'm still angry with myself for not being as productive as I ought to be."

I just wish I'd the brain to use all the time I have now and turn it into something great. Not that I can't understand how important it is, but seems like I can't get myself to willingly devote to my days. I still have so much to learn and so much to cover and I don't know why I can't focus enough. Now all I'm just thinking of is becoming a workaholic and use as much time as possible to learn everything I can. Need a lot of positivity ✨️ 🌻 🤞

PS. How come people are not into Carolina? It's an amazingly gothic song and turning my whole mind into dark academia.

Day 1: Studying Anatomy

Today missed the morning rays on the pages, the sunshine was too bright and I became lazy 😪 So starting at 10:00 instead of 8:00, till my online class at 11:30 today. Also I'm fasting today which is another reason for getting up late, no breakfast.

Took the shower as soon as I got up, I think it helps a clean, fresh and cheerful start. 🌻

Lazy, cozy morning studying in bed with sleepy eyes and then watching the appearance of the ghostly shadows of the trees as the morning sunlight rises more, with aesthetic of the dry, yellow leaves falling dancing with the slow wind 🍂🧣 Nowadays having not-so-grey November dawns and lovely sunrise clouds.

P.S. going out shopping with some new friends (all of whom are foreigners) to explore the seasonal sale shop (mostly as part of exploring the city bc I'm a foreigner to this city too). So, no more studying for the morning (:

Day 2: Studying Histology

With so much writing notes, I feel like following the Active Recall and Spaced Repetition methods more(from Ali Abdaal on YouTube) which are supposed to take less of my time and make sure I learn the topics more efficiently.

Day 3: Studying Anatomy

Today my Anatomy teacher gave us some advice on studying anatomy (I actually love his words already), here:

Time and tide wait for none - so study regularly and study the topics discussed in the class the same day rather than waiting for later to finish them

Self-study is the best study - imagine it in your own body too while studying

A good labelled picture is more than thousand words - draw more pictures and diagrams

Anatomy means 'studying your own self' (now, this one's particularly my fave)

Also, all the best to those who are studying as 1st year med as me 🌻 🌞
