It's been crazy cold and icy, and it's about to get *dangerously* cold over the weekend. But here are the coziest places I've studied this week. One of these closed in desks in the library, and by the fireplace in one of the oldest buildings.

Moved to a new city for my master's degree 📚🍂 being so far from home feels weird

Today's aesthetic: Afternoon's weak sun and a cup of coffee, with the sunlight filling the whole bed where I'm having a cozy study session...with myself only
Been feeling low and lazy today, with no will of achieving any actual productivity, though studied about the muscle contraction and its physiology, with whichever energy I had left.
📚 also, finally started reading The Final Problem of sherlock, which I also have been skipping whenever I'm rereading sherlock holmes
🎶 all too well (10 min version) playing during hard study got my subconscious mind into thinking of the outside world as a realm of autumn forest and autumn leaves and the warm sun without even me realising it, anyone else?
any excuse to post a picture from the arctic I will take! today’s is me writing notes on polar bears 📖❄️
listening to: white lie (bonus track) by the lumineers
it’s winter in chicago 🕯 ❄️
it’s to cold to go outside 🥣❄️
The start of a study and the friendly guy that came up to talk. The sun went down in the meantime!
He wanted to tell me a story about a family he lived with in California in the late seventies, because the son got some sort of award from Eisner himself. After that it was everything under the sun from his time picking strawberries in Michigan to catching pheasants and hiding their feathers while in prison. Asked me to look up a tutorial for drawing a rose and told me about his wood burning projects. His favorite quote to add to his works is, “Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.” (No luck finding a source) By the time I had to leave it was dark and I was shivering but he said he has some good spots to spend the night.
Stay safe out there, Humberto.
