1. Do you have a favorite discontinued TV show?
Firefly! It is my favorite for so many reasons and it is full of great one-liners.
2. What holiday is your least favorite and why?
Valentine's Day. It is much too boring and pink and seems like just an excuse to make more money. Also, people always want to bug me about not having a boyfriend. I try to make things I don't like more interesting so one year I handed out black silk roses and anti-Valentines instead of Valentines.
3. Are there any restaurants that you are dying to check out? Which ones and where?
Not really, but there is a Thai place near my house that I have been to once and I would like to go there sometime to try other stuff.
4. What is something that sets you apart from the crowd?
I don't care much about fashion. I like what I like. It doesn't seem that weird to me, but someone actually pointed out the way I dress one day last semester in class as evidence that I was part of an "Out-culture." My favorite clothes are jeans, chucks, cardigans or hoodies or open button-up shirts, and t-shirts (especially my Hebrew Star Wars shirt that my roomie got me in Israel!). I had to go buy dress clothes when I started my internship, but I still get away with Dr. Martens instead of dress shoes!
5. What is one achievement you are most proud of?
I am one semester away from graduating with my BSW and will be graduating cum laude. It may not seem like a big deal, but as I was growing up I was always told I would never be able to graduate and that I could never do anything. I also started college almost 10 years ago and had to drop out after a mental breakdown. I have brought my gpa back from a 2.33 to a 3.68. I proved my family, psychiatrists, and therapists wrong and that is what I am most proud of.
6. What’s your favorite thing about the season when you were born?
I was born in June and my surrogate family lives on a lake, so we do a lot of "lake days." We go swimming or take out the pontoon boat or go tubing and it is so much fun.
7. What is your dream vacation?
I think my dream vacation would be to Hawaii or Alaska or anywhere where I could see beautiful places, animals, plants, and things that I have never seen. I want to see the northern lights and whales and volcanoes and strange plants and a thousand things I can't even imagine, but I know that I would love them.
On some level, occasionally I get to do these things. I think next month on the full moon we are going to Kentucky to see the Moonbow and this summer I may get to go camping to see the synchronized fireflies in Tennessee. I enjoy those things too because they are still rare and beautiful, even if they are close by.
8. What is something you used to daydream about when you were a kid?
A happy, loving family. Which I am now lucky enough to have. :)
9. If you could be on a television show, what would it be?
I wouldn't want to be on tv. The only thing I would like to do would be background painting for animation.
10. When was the last time you used your imagination?
Question 9? I use my imagination a lot. Today I had to drive back to school from Knoxville, so I imagined quite a lot of things on the way back (3 1/2 hours).
11. What does your ideal Sunday look like?
Church, then lunch at Genghis Grill or a Mexican place, then video games and relaxing.
1. What is the best thing that happened to you/that you did in 2013?
2. What is your favorite color?
3. What is your favorite book (or movie if you don't like to read)?
4. What is the coolest thing you have ever done?
5. What is your favorite quote?
6. What is your favorite holiday and why?
7. If you could tell your teenage self anything, what would it be?
8. What do you do when you get bored?
9. Do you have a weird habit?
10. What is your pet peeve?
11. What is your favorite thing about where you live?
connect-the-dots-backward
and...I don't have 11 people that would do this, but that's okay.
