“Oliver…?”It was pure luck that she managed to run into a familiar face so quickly. She felt relieved because even though she had no idea where she was now at least she wasn’t on her own anymore, wandering around aimlessly. “Thank god I found you! What is this island? One minute we were back in New York on our date and now we’re here… Are you alright?”

“Oliver…? Is that you?” It felt like a dream to see him standing there again after everything that had happened. For sure he thought he would never see him again and yet here they were face to face again. His hands were itching to reach out and touch him but it had been a while since they last saw each other. Elio couldn’t help the smile that crossed his face while he stepped closer towards him. “I’ve been looking for you everywhere on this island. I still have no clue how we even got here but… But I’m glad to at least know someone here.”

It was a relief to hear from the doctor that everything was alright with her and the baby. The last couple of day a few more memories had come back to her slowly but surely and she felt a lot better about the prospect of being a mother. “Thank you for coming along Oliver.”

She turns around to look at him. “I think I’m ready for the rest of the story. I’ve been remembering some more things the last couple of days but I still have no idea what else happened between us… I mean we broke up again didn’t we? That’s why I’ve been keeping the ring in my pocket. Or did something else happen?”

“Why…? Youdon’t even care.” Her voice was barely a whisper and honestly what was thepoint of staying conscious? She wasn’t even sure what had happened but rightnow she didn’t care. Closing her eyes and sleeping sounded like a far betteridea.
