Studio 76 Expands Taiwan’s Horizons in Export-Led Chinese Content

Taiwan’s ambition to ramp up production for overseas Chinese-speaking audiences has been given another boost by Studio76, a newish firm with expanding plans.

The Taipei-based company has had a busy two-year history producing original web shows and short dramas. It is now planning a slate of new titles with hybrid storytelling, both on-screen and in manga format.

We spent our first (real, non-exhausted) morning in Yogya at a silversmith workshop run by a local artist by the name of Agus. Studio 76 is located in the south-west of Yogya and Agus runs workshops as well as freelances as a photographer and travel consultant, which was super convenient because we were able to pick his brains about how best to cross the east of Java. The workshop was really fun and I felt like I was able to have full creative control with just the right amount of support.

I would highly recommend Studio 76 to anyone going to Yogya!
