Kicking off a new project with a song named Good Shit seems a brazen way to go, but WORLDS’ debut is truly fabulous. If the voices on this perky jaunting tune sound familiar, it’s probably because you know the duo involved in WORLDS. Erica Driscoll of Blondfire and LA musician Anthony Polcino join forces to present us with a breathy seductive combination of pop rock, synthpop, and psych pop on Good Shit. Its a muggy curling, woozy swirling extravaganza that reminds me of a sultrier burning, peppy stepping combo of Emily Haines (Metric) and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Good Shit is out now on WAX LTD Records.

Here and now, Blondfire has me entranced with their gorgeous new single, the first of 2017 and reportedly a taste from a project to arrive later this year. The Los Angeles based outfit present us with dreamy lush pop and stringy textured rock on Here And Now, a luscious swirling gem that could very well be what Emily Haines (Metric) went more twangy guitar pop. The warm embrace of this beautiful ballad leaves me with an effulgent glow. I’m also left excited to hear more from Blondfire’s forthcoming project.
