If Ken Duncan can’t animate a Dexter’s Lab opening in 16:9, I’ll use Studio La Cachette
Due to the fact that he’s still busy at Duncan Studio in Pasadena, California, Ken Duncan will never animate a Dexter’s Laboratory title sequence in 16:9 (1.78:1) for Season 5 which I was originally planned. Instead, I’ll get a French animation studio that did the overseas work on Primal (TV series) & most recently Unicorn: Warriors Eternal for Adult Swim by the name of Studio La Cachette. The studio will animate a Dexter’s Laboratory title sequence in 16:9 (1.78:1) with digital ink & paint (or digital cleanup & coloring as I prefer after scanning the rough animation drawings done on paper with pencil) using hand-drawn animation via TVPaint for Season 5 (or Seasons 7 & 8 which Cartoon Network Studios will prefer) mid next year. I’ll make sure the 16:9 widescreen remake of the main title animation will have the Seasons 3 & 4 (5 & 6 as Cartoon Network Studios called it) character designs of Dexter & Dee Dee, the current design of Dexter now has one lab coat button. Plus, the 2010 Cartoon Network logo will be on top of the show’s logo just like the current Cartoon Network original shows.
