Started a new still-life with my students. One of my students brought this beautiful bowl to use in our still-life thinking it will be challenging to paint, but I always teach abstract thinking when you separate your colors by the areas where you see them and focus only on those abstract shapes. It simplifies the overall pattern and helps you think in terms of colors and shapes, rather than objects.
