I found a youtube channel with videos for different basic TOPIK 1 vocabulary, I haven;t look at all their videos but what I see so far is geared more for beginners of Korean.

Vocabulary Word Play

It’s easier to remember vocabulary if you come up with some sort of sentence or idea that helps you remember the word! Sometimes coming up with something is hard, but here are 3 words that I can remember easily now thanks to this method!

1. 반입금지 Means “banned from entering” Usually used on signs saying “외부 음식 바입 금지” which means “You cannot bring food from outside in to here”

So I remembered this because 반 (bahn) sounds similar to ban! So banned from entering.

2. 기부하다 Means to donate. But 기부 sounds like a Korean pronunciation of “give.” And to give is similar to “donate”!

3. 노력하다 means “effort.” I really had a hard time between 노력 and 능력, which means skill or ability. Finally I realized 노력 sounds similar to “No luck!” So instead of just using luck, I need to use EFFORT to achieve something!
