May 25, 2021 :: [63/100] :: I am currently trying to create a new habit of doing Pilates after I wake up to get my body moving and my muscles activated. Did 12 Minutes this morning, then made coffee and noticed a muscle knot between my right shoulder and spine, which hurt. Sitting at a desk didn’t help but rolling over a small massage ball did.
Coffee gave me enough focus to write about 8 or so pages on my thesis, which is a lot for me! I listened to a new podcast yesterday evening, in which procrastination was a topic and the key conclusion was:
procrastination starts as a thought out of fear and usually your brain is misleading you into thinking you cannot do something. You can help it by replying “but I will try” or “I did it before, I can do it now”. Surprisingly, this really did help me today and I got a boatload of stuff done (writing-wise at least).
