Finally finished!!!

I present to you all... the Study of Texture blanket by The Crochet Crowd! This baby gave me some trouble, but I'm glad I stuck with it. Unfortunately Michael's ran out of this yarn in the middlebof my order, so I only received 3 skeins instead of 4, and so I had to cut the pattern short by 4 rounds, and instead put one round if DC and then the picot border. But hubby and I love it so much that as soon as the ends were woven (it was the wee hours one morning last week), we slept under it right away! Pictures didn't happen until the next day, lol!

The Crochet Study of Texture Shawl is shawl that is intended to push your limits for improving your stitchwork. The pattern is comprehensive with 59 rows of instructions to complete this masterpiece. This is 62″ across by 35″ deep.

There will not be a specific tutorial make for this shawl as many of the stitches already exist in previous tutorials. I will provide those below.

The difference between the Study of Texture Afghan and this is pretty much everything but has to be written differently because you go back and forth in the rows.

Crochet Study of Texture Poncho

Crochet Study of Texture Poncho

There was interest in having the Study of Texture original afghan converted to a shawl. So I put my thinking cap on and created a shawl. This ended up morphing into a demand to have the Study of Texture Poncho. Cora Morrison, a fellow crocheter, took up the challenge to create one.

With collaboration, Cora re-wrote the instructions for the Crochet Study of Texture Poncho as a one piece unit. You could have done two shawls and sewed them together. She wanted a one piece unit instead.

Cora spent several weeks perfecting the pattern to the best of our her ability to match my original intention. Her and I worked together to do our best to correct as much as we saw. So if you find an error, it’s not for a lack of trying.

Cora used 5 balls of Bernat POP yarn. Using 5 mm / H Hook.
