Working ever diligently into the hours well beyond midnight was hardly unusual for Angela. The holidays for instance were her prime, often carrying her through a number of passing days before some semblance of normality rewarded selfless efforts. Be it the welcoming warmth of a new sunrise spilling like a painter’s expert practice just beyond the stretch of windowpane or even the smiles and gratitude she inspires in her patients, no deed is without an equally tasking objective and twice the exhaustion.
Thus, Ziegler nearly misses the presented inquiry until the sound and sight of Hana pulls her steadily looming attention from the assortment of vials shimmering like coagulated crimson in their respective holders. Allowing a smile to grace her features she turns in her chair all while nodding towards the containment collection.
“Hana, what a pleasant surprise! Ja. I was just finishing up my samples for the night. Are you in for a checkup?”
