It’s already August! Time has been flying by so fast and I’m getting really anxious about my scholarship application and my IELTS. I’ve just booked my IELTS exam yesterday and I have another 2 weeks left to study for it. AND not to mention my impending end to glorious summer holidays :’). I’ve been taking advantage of my time during the summer and have been going out to study. Being at home makes it difficult to concentrate so sometimes I like to take the train and just find a place to study. This is what’s in my bag whenever I go out to study. Best part of it is that my bag is two-way so it’s super duper functional and I had it thrifted for RM30. SUCH A STEAL GUYS. Same goes with my snoopy mirror and pencil box (both were RM2). As for the drawstring pouch, I had crocheted that last year during my winter vacation and I use it to store small things like my mirror, earphones and mouse! Wherever you guys are, I hope you’re staying safe and healthy. Please wear a mask when you head out and don’t forget to sanitise and social distance yourself whenever possible!

so, we got to bring our braille machine home since my state has announced lockdown for all academic institutions, which means we are not allowed to attend face to face classes, that, includes my braille class. it's kinda hard to practice brailling alone since i don't get to check and correct what i brailled with my other classmates but it's okay, i guess, we are managing, somehow.
Day 4 of Zoomester Studyblr Challenge
For my researching fellows, what are you researching on? If you’re not currently researching, what is the topic within your field that you’re most passionate about?
as someone who has been specialising in the education field, i have always had a profound interest of a certain topic within the field.
during my diploma, because i majored in early childhood education, i have wrote a paper regarding children's progress in mathematics by integrating learning through play. since i just started my degree year, i figured special education is a broad field, much of the categories revolving around special education itself has vast topics to research on.
special education mainly can be categorized into three aspects: learning difficulties (adhd, autism), sensory (auditory, visual) deficiency and physical disabilities (cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy). each of the specific difficulties/syndromes has their own importance and necessities that are needed to be researched for our knowledge evolution.
when it comes to learning difficulties, much of the matter revolves around executive functions, neurodivergence and brain differences. i have found my passion somehow etched to these topics, and along the run i'm sure i'll get to expand my knowledge regarding this field!
