Last night I put down my deposit for my DONA certification workshop. As I step into the future of my life, I am filled with gratitude. I am nervous and curious. I can't stop reading and I just wanna jump in. Talking to the instructor yesterday just furthered my confidence that I am doing the right thing for myself. Empowered women, empowering women. What events are you doing for scioly? I'm doing astronomy, dynamic planet, & cell biology? Do you know where I can find a pre made notes sheet? My team assigned me these events last week & I don't know anything ahhh

i’m in dynamic planet, hydrogeology, and air trajectory (well, i think i’m in air trajectory ahhahahahah)

when’s your tournament? your team should have given you enough time to adequately study for those events before competing.

and unfortunately, you’re probably not going to find a pre-made notes sheet anywhere since it’s all so variable depending on the person that wrote it, the year that it was for, the topics that it contains, and your level of knowledge in the subject.

in this case, i would suggest googling every topic that you’re going to be tested on, and copy+paste into a word document in a tiny tiny tiny tiny font. there’s also a scioly wiki that you can find information on, but from experience, the info there isn’t adequate enough for the tests that you have to take and if you do find note sheets on there, they’re usually outdated or not helpful at all bc they have abbreviations and sayings that only mean something to the person that wrote it.

Okay I've got to ask why you like the great gatsby so much. I just finished it like 2 days ago & I understand the point and all but it just felt slightly lacking? Not to say that it was terrible, I just wouldn't have ranked it among my favorites & I was curious as to why you did?

Honestly that’s how i felt after i read it for the first time. But then we went on a last minute trip to New Orleans and to my horror I didn’t have time to go to the library to pick up a book before we left, so I grabbed that one. After reading it a second time it sorta clicked what was so great about it, i guess. There’s something about it that’s so real that it really transports you back to that time, but it’s also very magical and grand and like a fantasy world. I’ve always been drawn to that era, so maybe it’s nostalgia that makes me like it so much, but ever since I read it for the second time I’ve adored it. I’m not sure how many times I’ve read it now, but every time I read it it gets better I think.
