HOW TO START A BULLET JOURNAL:
But first...
By definition, a bullet journal is is a customizable and forgiving organization system. It can be your to-do list, sketchbook, notebook, and diary, but most likely, it will be all of the above. It will teach you to do more with less.
There are many apps to organize your life, but I feel that this method is more flexible and will allow YOU to express your own creativity.
Ever since I started a bullet journal, my life has been more organized and I am able to do more things with the short amount of time I have. I’m able to schedule out my priorities, but still make time for pleasures (such as Sims 4). In all, it has made me not only a better student, but a better person in general. (or so I like to think)
To start one, it’s as simple as buying a journal, or sparing one that you already have. It can even be a used one, just rip out the pages.
If not already, customize the front. You’ll be using this everyday, so why not make it spectacular!
Start your journal by putting your favorite quote, or one that gets you through the day on your first page. Decorate it with all your hearts desires. This will be the page you look at everyday.
The next two pages should be your LEGEND and your INDEX.
Your LEGEND is the same as a key. Create symbols that represent tasks, events, deadlines, and notes. You can also use color coding. Click Here for an example of a legend.
Your INDEX should include each month or category you want to specify in your journal.
Depending on what type of person you are each month should have a page dedicated to your main priorities such as expenses or exams.
Each month should also have a calendar so you can keep track of the dates and jot down important events (such as birthdays)
Then in each section, you should have 2-3 pages for each week to jot down goals for the day or week. Click here for a visual...
