for the past week or so, i have been betraying my english literature major, not studying anything related to the subject but have been completely captivated by the Jungian cognitive functions. it might sound naive of me but learning about the Jungian cognitive functions even on a basic level has been pretty much life changing, especially for someone like me who is so much into this self-growth and inner growth talk.
it started with the 16 personalities test and i turned out to be the infp-t type.
i skimmed through the type description, its strengths and weaknesses but it all seemed vague and i was insatiable, the information wasn't enough for me to fully understand my type. So i trod onward and read about the 8 Jungian cognitive functions and how each 16 type personalities make use of it.
it felt like an epiphany honestly, i suddenly was aware of why i do the things i do, why i act the way i do, and what can i do to be better at being my best infp self. my boyfriend who is an intj said that it felt like being in a simulation, like reading a manual for a machine, but i studied it for other reasons, to understand my psyche, for self-growth.
thank u for coming reading my ted-talk 。◕‿◕。
