you misunderstood me. but i suppose thats a given since it was a slew of unintelligible phrases lasting merely  3 lines. you went on a tangent about advertising and physical appearance...i mean sure they were related

uh you do realize that when “teenage girls” (since i’m not sure what we’re even talkking about now, this is the population you were considering when you replied to my post ya?) talk about weight, it’s seldom about the cultural factors that play into what women are expected to look/behave/act ? more often when ‘teenage girls’ speak of weight it’s things like “omg what is she wearing” “oh she got fat” “oh shes ugly” *insert whatever funny/obscene comment about someone else’s body that connotes condescension. these comments are shallow vapid boring etcetc. now even if these girls hate the culture they live in that gives rise to one form of ideal, by saying these things they’re making a statement about themselves.

some other things about your long post i’d like to comment on

- your US ideal extends beyond US physical territory. definitely universal, irregardless of location.

- you talk about tangible benefits of being physically attractive...yes thanks for such wise words since i really am not aware of these external effects every time i interact with others. yes thank you i was truly ignorant of these repercussions despite having lived a few decades on this earth 

- ? i wasn’t trying to ‘separate’ myself from this culture. the fact that i am alive and living deems me ‘not separate’.

- oh ya last thing if these were instead the things ‘teenage girls’ talk about - culture and advertising and appearances , and they talk about it in such articulate manner - it would be an interesting discussion.  i welcome interesting discussions. why would that be vapid lol.

- i am not dismissive of people; i want no part of a conversation established to rip someone else apart so that you can feel better about yourself. i don’t automatically dismiss them if they say such things (clearly some of these people have to be my ‘friends’ since i am very introverted and dont go out much). how shallow of me to only see one aspect of their personality and assume it the whole. oH but i am weird. yes. that part is true yes
