😏 The Great Semicolon Mystery
Why is it called a semicolon?
Because apparently, people only use it correctly half the time. The other half? It’s busy moonlighting as a winky face. ;-)
But here’s the thing: the semicolon doesn’t have to be scary.
Think of it as the punctuation that says, “Hey, these two ideas are closely related, but they’re independent enough to stand on their own.” It’s the middle child of punctuation—often overlooked, occasionally misused, but super useful when you understand it.
So the next time you’re debating whether to slap a period or a comma between two thoughts, consider the semicolon.
📚 Writers, students, grammar nerds: let’s give the semicolon the love (and proper usage) it deserves.
