Dory: Something someone has told you that you can’t forget (two good things and one bad)

At my Grandad’s 80th birthday party, my Aunt told me that it was obvious I had always been Grandad’s favourite grandchild. Which was.. odd, but nice?

I had a fairly bad mental breakdown just after New Years, and as I lay in the back seat of my car, my friends sitting around me.. my friend Jes was stroking my hair and she said ‘you are so loved’ and at the time I felt so hopeless and I just wanted to die.. but her saying that was so comforting and I don’t think I’ll ever forget it.

My brother said a while back that I was useless and would never amount to anything (which, being in the midst of a depressive episode at the time, hurt incredibly and set me back quite a lot).  

Mulan: Do you trust your gut feeling? What happened.

A time I trusted my gut feeling? Hmm. I can’t really think of anything. Um. Sorry, nope. Nothing. 

Jasmine: The story of when you had to really trust someone. Was it easy?

When I first told my Mum that I thought I had depression. I hadn’t been to a doctor about it yet (as I chickened out the two times I had booked in for it). It was terrifying, telling her, even though I knew that she would understand (because she has depression as well). 

Belle: Is there someone you are close who no one else likes? What’s the story?

During high school I lived in a boarding house, and my friend Jes was never very popular with the other girls I lived with (with the obvious exception of Alice and Kate, my two best friends in the boarding house who were and are also good friends with Jes). Jesyca has always been very certain of who she is, is outspoken about things that she thinks are important (the environment, animal rights, etc). One girl in the boarding house, Maria, was very bitchy about her - I ended up telling her to go fuck herself because I just got so sick of them bashing on my friend, who they didn’t really even know. I never really liked Maria. She just wasn’t a very nice person.

Flounder: Something that surprised you and frightened you.

I realised when I was.. probably about fifteen? That my family wasn’t as well off as I thought. It had never really occurred to me before then, but I suddenly realised that we were quite poor. I felt really guilty, because the school I went to was very expensive - and I felt terrified, because I didn’t want to leave it because all my friends were there.

Eric: Have you ever helped a stranger? What happened.

Okay, so back in year 12 my History teacher was Mr Faulls, who is a very funny, very sarcastic kind of guy. He’s a bit scary in that he’s got the face of a serial killer and can be a bit shouty, but I always got on really well with him and he’s actually a very cool guy (he and his wife were in charge of girls boarding, like our ‘boarding parents’ so I knew him for about five years). But he has a no cell phone policy, and he always took it very seriously. So, this one day in class, a phone started ringing - it was this guy Cameron’s phone. Cameron has.. I don’t really know. I’d guess at autism? Or aspergers? I didn’t know him very well, but I noticed that he had a bit of trouble reading body language, and didn’t like to meet your eyes. He was quite smart (although had trouble communicating ideas) and was quite socially awkward. He’s a very nice guy, very sweet. But he took little things (like his phone ringing in class) very seriously. I was sitting next to him this one day, and as his phone was ringing I noticed him tense up and start muttering ‘oh no’ to himself and he kind of started to freak out a bit. We were sitting in the front of the class, so it wouldn’t have been too long before Mr Faulls realised it was Cam’s phone. So, without really thinking about it, I grabbed my cell from my pocket and said ‘oh crap, sorry Sir - thought I had it on silent’ and played with my phone, pretending I couldn’t figure out how to get it to go to silent until Cam’s stopped ringing. Mr Faulls took my phone (which I got back at the end of the day) and class continued - and I don’t think anyone else ever realised it had been Cam’s phone and not mine. 

Aladdin: A sacrifice you made for someone.

Not really a sacrifice, but my little sister could ask me to kill someone for her and I probably would. Seriously, she has everyone wrapped around her little finger and she knows it.

Tiana: A time you tried the hardest for something.

I remember trying very hard to be chosen for prefect. I’d always kind of wanted to be one ever since I read Harry Potter (because if Hermione was a prefect, then obviously I should try to be one). I didn’t end up getting it because I managed to piss off the board of trustees and the principal when I started a petition against the new uniform (which is completely hideous, and was only brought in as a way to make money and because the principal was friends with the designer). A lot of students signed the petition, which was then ripped up in front of them by the head of middle school. I nearly got expelled over it. So - no prefect position for me!

Boo: A childhood hero.

Hermione Granger - I always related to her and thought that she was the sort of person I wanted to be. Smart, kind, talented - I always thought she was just pretty kick ass.

Seven Dwarfs: 7 things you like in the people around you.Um, there’s no one else here right now, so I’ll just do my friends in general.

They can always make me laugh. 

They’re all very intelligent in different ways.

David and Rhys and Nic all give fantastic hugs.

Jes reads even more than me, so it’s nice to talk about books with her.

 My friend Kate is very artistic, and seeing her amazing art work always inspires me to feel more creative myself.

Jojo loves similar things as me - from Welcome to Night Vale to Cabin Pressure to god knows what else. She is the Watson to my Holmes (and now she even has her own Mary) and I always feel comfortable geeking out with her. :)

My sister is everything I’ve always sort of wanted to be - she’s incredibly smart, funny, pretty and she’s ridiculously sporty to boot. She’s just an all round great person.

Kronk: What you are best at in the kitchen?

I make this really yummy pasta dish - it’s creamy, with sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, red capsicum, cashew nuts, bacon and chicken. 

Simba: Something a parent has taught you.

Ummm… My Dad taught me how to do some tricks with a yo-yo. 

Nemo: Your bravest moment.

 Umm.. I once got up and did a speech in front of my entire school in Assembly. So, like - 800? 900? people all staring at me as a babbled on about something? Yeah that was pretty intense. I remember very clearly my hands shaking so bad that I had to hold the stand thingy in front of me.

Terk: Are you a big brother/sister figure to anyone?

Yep, I have a younger brother and a younger sister. Also, I’ve kind of adopted Livvy’s friend Eddy as my second honorary little sister. She’s all kinds of awesome, and is pretty much as obsessed with Supernatural / Sherlock / Marvel as I am. When we catch up people tend to stare because we get so excitable about things.

Buzz: Your favourite fantasy world (aka Harry Potter, Star Wars), if any.

The Wizarding world from Harry Potter, hands down (with Middle Earth a near second).

HMMMMM I guess backstage because if they're filming a drama/movie they'd be busy working (well I guess they'd be busy backstage at a concert or butai too wouldn't they...)

Hmmm... typically I think I tend to like the ~best friend supporting character~ because lots of them are there for some kind of comic relief and I like humourous guys ;w;

4. Who would you want to spend the last day of your life with?

ahh, can I just spend it with like 39483905 different people LOL like awkward adorable math teacher, Arashi, all my family & friends, etc etc *_*

LOL story of my liifeeeeee. People's reaction when they kind of maybe figure out that I'm in love with my math teacher: "YOU LIKE MR. _____?! WHAT" and then usually they just walk away

Strangely, I actually have no idea ;w; I want to know, but I'm too afraid to go get a blood test ;w; People in Canada don't usually pay attention to blood types, but I quite enjoy seeing the attributes of each different one~

Heavy metal & rap/hip hop jakhsdja uggggh I hate it

I have so many LOL to name a few, every day when I get home from school I make a cup of coffee and go upstairs and sit on the computer for 92348023 hours, every time I wake up in the morning to my alarm I'm delirious & think I need to solve math problems in order to turn the alarm off, so I involuntarily solve complex calculus questions in my head every morning... & every night before I go to bed I watch a random Arashi video on my ipod :D

1. What are 3 things you absolutely love about yourself?

My motivation to do well with things (especially school >w<), how I'm not the "typical teenager" who skips class, gets high all the time, goes to parties & gets completely drunk (I'm probably one of the most innocent people at my school aren't I...), I don't really tend to hate people (except some that actually give me reason to...) & I see the good in most people

2. You get to spend an entire weekend with a bias of your choice doing whatever you want, all expenses taken care of, but by taking this chance, you will lose something in your life. This something could be just a favorite pen or maybe a friend. Would you risk it?

LOVE IS A TANGENT LINE THAT MEETS A FUNCTION AT A POINT FOR JUST ONE MOMENT AND THEN LEAVES FOREVER. Damn, I'm so deep.

8. Would you rather try bungee jumping or sky diving? Have you actually?

can I pick neither ;____; I'M A COWARD QwQ If I had to choose I think I'd pick bungee jumping, just because I'd be secured to something, where as in sky diving you're just kind flying through the air by yourself ;w;

9. Something you did today that makes you proud?

I asked awkward adorable math teacher what my (almost) final mark in calculus was & he told me I got 95%! :D & I also finished the AP Exam, the biggest (both in the duration and in terms of importance) exam I've ever written in my life

10. Your strangest dream?

ooooh goodness, there's been many strange ones... so many I can't remember Q_Q  Well one I can still remember is of me buying coffee from Yoko outside the school gym and going home to see some random dog rampaging around and breaking my non-existent fish tank. That was pretty weird

11. Would you trade the happiest moment of your life so far(!) for ten million dollars and have that memory erased forever?

I think I'll keep the memory ;w; I'm a sentimental person

1. Do you want to get married?!

I do, but I feel like it's impossible for me, I'm so socially awkward and I've never even been in a relationship yet, and I can't ever picture me ever finding a boyfriend and ahhh :(

HMMM... I quite like mango or coconut or green tea flavoured~

3. If you were to change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

To be at least a little less shy

4. If you were to win $10 million, what would you do with all that money?

This question was asked in my other tag one! :D I said something like I'll split it into 5 equal portions and spend one on a huge shopping thing, one for travelling the world, one to get concert tickets and merchandise from JE people, one for donating to charity, and the last for... I don't remember LOL

5. If you were to get an opportunity to live anywhere in the world, which part of the world would you choose?

Hmm... right now I'm happy to just stay in Vancouver, but I also really want to live in Hong Kong, and someday also in Japan, the UK, and Holland :D

6. What do you appreciate most about your life?

The people in it :D

7. Would you break the law to save a loved one?

hmmmm... depends what law o_o like if it's killing someone, I wouldn't do it, but if it was something like, I don't know... stealing or vandalism, then I would.

Well, my greatest fear is basically time, so it always comes true :(

hmmm currently I'm really liking Face Down by Arashi and The Answer by Miura Daichi~

I actually don't really have one in specific... I guess just being less anxious about everything and having less stress and complication
