Duncan the Donkey

I told you I’d show you Duncan.  Well here is the photo his person sent to me when she wrote asking about treatments:

As you can see, he was having some neck issues.  He also had two tiny holes in his left hand:

Duncan’s person had tried to get him treated elsewhere, but had difficulty finding the right doctor because of his nylon (fishing line type) stitches.  These are, admittedly, a complicating factor.  Once they tear, they tend to tear everywhere and then you can end up completely restitching an animal.  But Duncan didn’t have weak seams, he just needed his hand fixed and some supplemental stuffing.  I opened his neck seam, added stuffing, and then restitched the entire neck seam to prevent it reopening.  Here he is proudly holding his head up, waiting to fly home to Southern California:

He flew home first class, double packed in a special extra large printer box his person had provided, with prepaid shipping.  He arrived home two days later and his person wrote:

Duncan arrived back home today and he looks amazing!! You did an awesome job! I’m so happy that I found you and that he was able to be restored. Again thank you so much.. absolutely incredible!!
