A Melting Sunday -

Hello tumblrs and good morning 😃

This is how it looks this morning. We are having slightly above temperatures today and it is melting the snow we got so far. This is a high wind area and the open fields allow for the slightest amount of snow to form a slick layer on the roads. People who live out here will drive a bit slower knowing this. Those in a big hurry disregard common sense and blow past that slow a##€%. 🤣🤣 I had one pass me like this, trying to impress me by his horsepower.

No, he didn’t go in the ditch but I have seen many who have over the years.

Types of drivers i hate: school zone edition

People who speed through like it isnt there when school is clearly running. Youre seriously running so late you cant slow down for children? Wow.

People who tailgate you because you began to slow down before hitting the speed zone. Apparently im supposed to ride the speed limit, then slam on my brakes to slow down 15+mph in seconds. Thats a good way to get rear-ended. Its worse in high-speed zones, for some reason.

People who tailgate you for doing the school zone limit. Im not getting a speeding ticket so you can be on time for your thing. Sorry.

Recently got a dashcam ($15 basic cheap-y) as I’ve been wanting to get one for a while and just saw it on the shelf and decided to pick it up. This is what I caught this evening after work.

Driver in blue vehicle going into the left turn lane while the driver in the white vehicle swerving not sure which way to go and finally going left, then the blue pulling back over into the straight lane! WTF people! Make up your f’ing minds!

My town under a blanket of white. The city is still struggling to plow all the roads and people are still driving like maniacs. Saw almost ten accidents in the span of an hour.

Road to Hana started out great then was a shit show. Also, if you get car sick at all don't do it! I now get car sick on windy roads unless I'm driving - well I drove and still was nauseous! It also is filled with people that don't understand that a narrow road means you have to go slow and share - well I shared too much and totally scrapped and dented the rental can. Good news my insurance will cover it, but they can apparently charge me for any down time the car has if it needs to get repaired. I made the hubs drive back because I was too frazzled and spent the entire road back digging my claws into the door handle and center console while trying to breath through the nausea. It is beautiful and the black sand beach is stunning and if you do drive it bring or wear something you can hike in. Now I am going to drink some more rum and POG and try to forget about the crap that is a dented/scratched rental car. Oh yeah for real doing a whole30 when I get back.
